BeautifulArizona.net was the brain child of Lenard Kelley. Lenard was tired of watching is kids stare at computer monitors all day and knew something needed to be done. One of Lenard’s fond memories of childhood was his parents and siblings taking adventures on the weekends when he lived in Anchorage Alaska.

Lenard decided he would take his kids on adventures every Saturday morning. In order for him to convince his kids this adventure would be fun and necessary, Lenard instructed his kids to bring cameras so they could take pictures of their adventures. Every Saturday, at least most Saturdays, Lenard takes his son and daughter on an Arizona adventure. This website offers feedback on these adventures.

Most adventures are free or very inexpensive. All of the adventures are family friendly (no night life etc…). Lenard lives in Avondale AZ about 16 miles West of Downtown Phoenix. Most of these adventures will be single day adventures–we start in the morning and finish the same day. If an adventure is multiple day, then this will be explained in the blog post.
